vini carso barde parovel refosco

A Double appointment this week with Barde Parovel. The Matos Nonet and the Imà refosco will be present on Saturday 8th July both at the Portorose Wine Fest in Portorose in Slovenia and at La Vite è Donna in Portopiccolo, Sistiana, Trieste.

An excellent double chance to know these two Barde Parovel wines closely.

Matos Nonet is the most sophisticated wine of the company, an elegant orange wine that is appreciated and that surprises for its balance between Istrian malvasia, sauvignon blanc and sémillion, and inheritance of the Napoleon's presesence in the Val Rosandra territory.

Imà refosco is the territorial expressione of one of the most typical wines of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region wines, full bodied and satisfying, intense, but with a freshness that dominates the tannin vein. In both cases we await you at the seaside with a good glass of wine to offer you!

La Vite e donna Parovel Portopiccolo

The wine told by women producers!

Elena Parovel will present at La Vite è Donna on next 8th of July Matos Nonet Barde 2012 e Imà Refosco Barde 2011.

The appointment will be held in the beautiful frame of Portopiccolo in Sistiana (Trieste) and it's organised by the Delegazione delle Donne del Vino del Friuli Venezia Giulia on a unique stage that is Portopiccolo in front of the Gulf of Trieste between the castles of Miramare and Duino. It's a seaside village projected with a contemporary view: a safe, accessible, protected place where you can have a stroll between shops, the square, the marina and the beach club.

On July 8th Portopiccolo will host the wine producers coming from every corner of Italy to present Italy through a unique wine path: from Barolo to Nero d’Avola, wines seen uniquely through a feminine view.

Olivo Parovel allegagione bianchera

In the autumn, when we open the Oil Mill in the Zona Artigianale Dolina, we have tasting lessons in which we explain the olive cultivation. Often in these lessons we quote the setting phase which is a very delicate step and corresponds to the initial stage of flower growth following flowering. Of all the small gems you see on this branch of bianchera, only a few will become olives and will be pressed in the autumn. However, the bianchera compared to the other varieties is one of the most productive olive trees.

The Parovel season proceeds well and we will continue monitoring throughout the summer.

From 23rd to 25th June, Saint John is also celebrated at the Slivia Towers in Duino-Aurisina in Trieste.

On the night of St. John, the TORRI DI SLIVIA, a precious speleological and tourist site for the special rock formation that distinguishes this cave, among the most scenic of the Trieste Carso, decided to make a great party. Three days with bonfires, cave tastings, guided tours, flowers, wine, culture, artists and artisans. And after the special tasting at Typos we see in the picture we also come back to this wonderful karst.

TASTING IN THE CAVE with PAROVEL
The underground aperitif with a short guided tour and tasting of local wines and cheese from the Karst (including the famous JAMAR, Zidarič cave cheese). On Friday 23rd we will present our native wines Barde Parovel.

ARTIST MARKET
With craftsmen and artists from Triveneto who will be exhibiting their works from 11 to 21 on Sunday 25 June: from jewelery to editorial, Karst herbs, clothing items, artist t-shirts, honey, oil and wine.

As we approach the heat we are all looking for foods that are quick to prepare and keep us as far away from the stoves.

Our friend Theodora Hurustiati then proposes to us this San Daniele Fil di Fumo (hot smoked trout) to be seasoned with a vinaigrette in which we use our extra virgin olive oil Mackè which with its odor bouquet is a perfect match for trout and zucchini.
