Right in these days from October 2 to 9 a wonderful Mediterranean cruise aboard the Costa ship Diadema is going on, with journalists and industry professionals to taste Italian wines. The initiative is cutely called Wine On Waves and this is the flattering comment just published on VinoWay about our ONAVÈ Vitovska Barde:
"Parovel San Dorligo della Valle (Ts) Vitovska 2012 Cru Barde. The name? Onavè. Elena and Euro Parovel are the soul of this company. A soul with old memories. The father and mother are in their wines. A company of not only wine but also that much oil. This is an old rustic vine that tells us a lot on the nose. It speaks of the wind, the Karst, of rocks and ponka, rosemary and savory and acacia. When tasting it its rustic essence is exalted. The freshness and flavor are exciting, a slight softness envelops the palate. Hard to say that a Vitovska is harmonic. This one it is!! "
"From the sandstone and ferrous land of Val Rosandra this small but excellent wine cellar gets a malvasia fermented in steel and aged seven months on its lees. Ultra smart sweet floral and fruity aromas of peach, pineapple and lime, with a saline note to increase its complexity and make it more shady. Sip composed and balanced, very effective in outlining a long finish where once again fruity and tasty tones intertwin"
They speak of our malvasia Pôje Barde in a very flattering manner on WineHouseBlog after tasting it at Expo Aquae Venice ongoing until October 31 in the lagoon city.
The Terrano, also known by the names "Karst Terrano" or “Istrian Terrano", is a native vine belonging to the family of Refosco.
Our terrane vines is cultivated on the plain, on a marl and limestone soil of clay mixed with red earth.
It’s a “sincere” wine, fragrant and fruity with a pleasant drinkability.
We serve it fresh, great in the summer, but perfect at any time of the year
Val Rosandra and Breg areas were once dotted with windmills, they were more than thirty. Everyone had specialized in a particular processing, from wheat to pressing of olives. All were nourished by the Rosandra flow, the same that in years very slowly created the narrow and characteristic canyon that is Val Rosandra
