Our food blogger friend Alessandra Colaci explains us the difference between a quiche and tarte. "The quiche pie, typical of French cuisine, includes in its composition the apareil (that's how you call the liquid component of the filling) the use of cream and eggs. Instead the tarte does not contain eggs."
In the picture Alessandra has prepared a "tarte" with potatoes, rolled bacon from Sauris and Montasio, prepared with a crispy sablée pastry shell with our extra virgin olive oil Mackè.
Is it Vitovska, Istrian Malvasia, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillion or yellow Muscat? Surely its juice will be enjoyed in the future! In the meantime in two days we’re opening Parovel’s Summer osmiza. Come and judge if we worked well!
In a shot there's our family life: Vine and Olives Grove in the first area we cultivated ie Barde, that opens up to the Rio Ospo valley in Trieste
New and talented generation is growing up. Here Martina oversees the bottling of our wines Vinja Barde ready for aging in the bottle, the last step before going on the market.
