Parovel supports the arts and the local area and is happy to give its contribution to the Festival of Poetry and Literature.
The International Competition for Poetry and Theater "Duino Castle" and the World Youth Forum "Right to Dialogue" are organized as part of a more comprehensive project under the title "Poetry and Solidarity as Peoples Language."
The project, born from the enthusiasm of Gabriella Valera and Ottavio Gruber was launched in 2000 and was later supported by the Poetry and Solidarity Association and by all its members.
The competition is open to young people under 31 years of age and has grown to the point of being considered by the UNESCO National Commission (under whose patronage it has been organized annually) the most important international competition reserved for young people. It was honored with the Medal of the Presidency of the Italian Republic and counts on the collaboration of Charles Prince of Thurn und (Castello di Duino, Trieste), Thousands of young poets have attended from about 90 countries around the world, so that the entire project can rely on a real network of young poets and generally young people who have social and humanitarian interests that promote our message in the world. Thanks to Ibiskos Risolo which publishes the book of the winners free of charge every year, the donations made during the presentation of the books are devoted to Luchetta Hrovatin Ota D'Angelo Foundation, which takes care of children victims of war.
Parovel will be present with its Vitovska Mackè Classic at Welcome Party to be held Friday, March 31 in the Foyer of the Chamber of Commerce of Trieste starting at 18.
